STOP THE BLEED® is a national initiative led by the U.S. Department of Defense that prepares everyday people to act quickly in a bleeding emergency. Whether at work, on a job site, or in the community, uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death from trauma. In just 45 minute, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge to stabilize and control severe bleeding until medical help arrives.

What You’ll Learn
Severe bleeding from trauma is the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S. In just 45 minutes, you’ll learn how to:
- Recognize life-threatening bleeding
- Apply direct pressure and tourniquets
- Pack wounds effectively
- Communicate clearly with emergency responders

Course At-A-Glance
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes

Format: In person at The Lawson Group office in Concord, NH. Contact us if you’re interested in on-site training at your workplace.
Please note: This course includes an optional hands-on wound simulation using simulated blood. We provide gloves and ponchos to participants, and we recommend wearing clothing you wouldn’t mind getting dirty.
Upon successful completion, participants receive an official STOP THE BLEED® certification from the American College of Surgeons in partnership with the Stop the Bleed Coalition and Department of Defense.

STOP THE BLEED® certification does not expire, but the American College of Surgeons recommends a refresher course every 2-3 years to keep skills sharp.
